McQueen & Biscuits

The McQueen show at Paris Fashion Week was a spectacle as always, Sarah Burton triumphed in her fourth collection for Alexander McQueen. The brand has been about blending fantastic with elegance, taking fashion beyond its accepted boundaries without losing its appeal. This collection was OTT in a good way, it had, feathers, metallic touches and fur.

Starting with my fav trend the white peplum jackets and skirts, already a welcome contrast to the dark shades of Milan Fashion Week last week.  This collection was an interpretation of futurism with the bleached blonde sleek hair and visor wearing models. She showcased an array of beautiful dresses in a variety of silks, leather, brightly colourful white, black, fuchsia (my fav) and pink.

Pom Pom fur coats and ruffles of tulle took away the harshness of the futuristic models and made this collection pure elegance. The feathers, fur and tulle on the shoes also makes the look even more opulent, I love it!

This year Sarah Burton’s work at McQueen raises her to another level altogether, pure genius.

I am obsessed with this collection bring on the feathers and fur this winter. Me Like!
