Alexander Wang is the latest creative figure to team up with a technology company. Other celebs that have been collaborating with tech companies are Lady Gaga as the creative director of Polaroid of special products and Intel hired the ground-breaking performer Will.i.am as the director of creative innovation.
Samsung and Wang will now join forces to design a limited edition bag. The design will be inspired by sketches and photos produced by a group of stylists and photographers using the Samsung Galaxy Note II. This will only be available in selected boutiques and on Wang’s website this summer, proceeds will be donated to NYC charity ArtStart.
Wang concludes by saying
"I am most inspired by my everyday life and the people that surround me, so the idea of a co-creation with the people that I admire and respect the most is very exciting. This collaboration represents a new way that technology and style can come together. And, through a concerted effort, I am happy to be a part of supporting such a great charity as ArtStart that embraces creativity and art in a way that can change lives."
I wonder what they will be coming out with next.
