B is for Baroque

Hey Everyone,

I would like to thank everyone at 10notchesabove for choosing me to be their international blogger fashionista all the way from Malta, Europe. I’ll bring you the very best and latest fashion trends weekly, so stay tuned.

Balmain A/W 2012

If you are like me and have had enough of summer you are definitely in for a treat today because I have got all the low down about the hottest trend for fall .Baroque. The material that is used for this type of clothing is usually silk, brocade or tapestry, it exudes opulence and produces grandeur garments giving any outfit a renaissance feel.

Dolce & Gabbana A/W 2012

This trend is elegant and timeless, having seen all the major designers carry out a bevy of models on the runways strutting their works of art for fall/winter 2012 are Balmain who gave us metallic baroque, D&G went back to their roots and gave us a Sicilian baroque and my ultimate favourite McQueen who also gave us a futuristic baroque with gold embroidery, transparent ruffles and floral needle point expressing luxury of the wildest degree.

Alexander McQueen A/W 2012

Usually baroque is said to be only for evenings but of course how can we not wear it for the office, I hear you say. Here I have prepared something for you from your exclusive online boutique that are super stylish and also credit card friendly. Make sure, actually..WARNING!!! Please do not wear more than 1 garment in baroque you don’t want to look like M.I.A at Paris Fashion Week I think someone has got a time machine and went back to the 80’s.

MIA at Paris Fashion Week - No one has ever told her a little baroque goes a long way!
