Once again, rockabilly is taking over.
Yes, the 50’s are back and its taking the fashion world by storm from the likes of D&G , Prada, Jill Sander,Elie Saab, Valentino & Nina Ricci have all been showcasing their collections with pin up looks and housewife 50's style.
The decade of the 50’s has been more dominant this year than ever before, forget about the clichés.....poodle skirts, button up knits, neck scarves and 50’s twist and shout music playing in the background (thank god that era is over) as though we were at a costume party.
Its all about sweet heart necklines, midriffs, cinched in waist, pleated skirts and va va voom italian bombshell attitude ala Sofia Lauren. Mixing it up with men's hairstyles which include the quiff for a 50's fashion cool.
My favourite this year is D&G with their awesome fruit and vegetable patterns I cant wait to get my hands on an onion patterned dress or Prada’s flame skirts, not to mention one particular shoe which I’m lusting over….
