Runway Malta - The September Edition

Yes my dear readers Runway Malta came and conquered. It was an eventful, fashionable night to remember, from the young local Maltese talented designers such as Sef Farrugia, Ritienne Zammit, Elisha Camilleri, Marco Parascandolo and Jogi Arthur who all gave amazing and creative collections to the foreign designers, my favourite of the night was Eleanor Amoroso.

All of the 5 Maltese designers where taking part in the Mdina Glass New Designer Competition, they had to showcase their talent and work around Mdina Glass creations in their collections which might I add, worked beautifully. The lucky lady of the night was the well deserved winner, uber talented, Maltese designer Sef Farrugia; models came down the runway displaying one of a kind pieces of a Spanish origin. Oh how I wish to rock one of her outfits! Her creations will showcase at Mdina Glass and on top of that she was also chosen to go to Fashionclash Maastricht next year and be one of the young designers that present their work to a diverse international audience. It makes me so proud to be Maltese. Sef is definitely one to watch out for!

 Another international designer that I was looking forward to see was Eleanor Amoroso, a London based designer who is a macramé goddess. These pictures don’t do any justice to the beautiful handcrafted alien-like dresses she presented on the night.  As models marched down the runway I was in awe to see such fascinating creative pieces which were meticulously done by hand, simply flawless perfection.

Above all the interesting collections and accomplished designers there was also a Fashion Exhibition which I was definitely eager to see, knowing that two of my good friends Elisa Von Brockdorff and Steven Vella where part of, I knew I was in for a treat.
