Pleats Du Jour

Pleats are definitely in my top five of 2012 trends (there are many good ones this year!) and unlike all the colour rage and the print based fads, this is one that you can apply to your wardrobe to add a touch of femininity. This year you will see pretty pleats in stylish sorbets as sweet as bon bons all in pastel shades, or you can work the feminine trend in with a bit of attitude, like I do :)

Here are a few different ways how to make pleats work for you, whether you are a girly girl or a little bit of a rock chick, we all can enjoy this trend this year.

This trend makes you look slim and tall, this is because of the vertical lines the pleats create, just make sure if you wear skirts like the above, that are close to the knee or below it, always remember to wear heels or wedges, or it will make you look short and would'nt look so flattering. If you wear pleated shorts or short pleated skirts you may wear ballerina flats, which look uber chic with pleats or flat sandals.
